Last year, when Nicholas Maxim entered Zaner-Bloser's National Handwriting Contest, he became the inspiration for a special award category bearing his name. Why? The entry from this talented fifth grade student was especially remarkable because he was born without hands or forearms.
But, that wasn't the first time Nicholas was the catalyst for a new initiative. This young man's tenacity also spurred the development of Camp No Limits, where children with limb loss and their families receive support, education, and mentoring.
