Mark Overmeyer is a literacy coordinator and coach in the Cherry Creek Schools. At the University of Colorado, he co-directs a National Writing Project site where he serves as an adjunct professor. He has had over twenty-five years of teaching experience.
A teacher’s goal is to improve and support students throughout the writing process and at the same time they struggle with keeping “assessment” objective. This book gives practical suggestions for teachers while examining the use of rubrics within the Writing Workshop method. A rubric can be used to reflect on your own personal teaching as well as for the students’ growth.
