Voices Literature & Writing and Voices Leveled Library books (part of the Voices 3C eLessons program) are
time-saving, cost-effective ways to address the six elements of effective reading instruction outlined in
"Every Child, Every Day" by Richard L. Allington and Rachael E. Gabriel. Here’s how both programs
complement the reading curriculum you already have in place.

1. Every child reads something
    he or she chooses.

Voices Leveled Library books are a great way to supplement your classroom library and provide high-interest books your students can choose for independent reading at their ability level (Guided Reading Levels AA–Z). Genres include science, social studies, folktales, social development, and other topics of interest.

2. Every child reads accurately.

The instruction within Voices 3C eLessons prepares students for reading Voices Leveled Library books accurately and independently.

3. Every child reads something
    he or she understands.

Voices Leveled Library books offer students access to a wide variety of high-interest text at their ability level that they can read and reread. Voices 3c eLessons offers teachers a way to differentiate instruction so that all readers have books they can read with understanding.

4. Every child writes about
    something personally
    meaningful.

Each of the Voices Literature & Writing writing projects is centered on issues 21st-century students care about and may encounter. When literacy instruction is relevant and the content is worthy of discussion and writing, students are connected to the literature and engage.

5. Every child talks with peers
    about reading and writing.

The Voices Literature & Writing program invites students to actively participate in focused discussion and response writing activities with their peers. These activities result in increased academic achievement and social development for all students.

6. Every child listens to a fluent
    adult read aloud.

Teacher Read-Alouds are at the heart of Voices Literature & Writing. Listening to culturally-responsive, authentic literature read aloud increases students' comprehension and fluency, as well as expands their vocabulary and background knowledge.

Voices Literature & Writing and Voices 3C eLessons with Voices Leveled Library books are aligned
to the Common Core State Standards. Learn more about these exciting new programs today!
