Voices Literature & Writing Supports Existing Initiatives in Many Schools

Whether your school building or district uses the methods outlined by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL); the Character Education Partnership; Olweus Bullying Prevention Program; Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS); or others, Voices Literature & Writing provides a complementary academic approach to bolster these initiatives. In fact, research shows that social- and emotional-learning programs increase academic achievement by 11 percentile points (Durlak, Weissberg, Dymnicki, Taylor, and Schellinger, 2011).
