To Our Loyal Contest Participants and Ardent Competitors:
Zaner-Bloser is pausing the Zaner-Bloser National Handwriting Contest for the 2025–26 school year. For over 30 years, the contest has celebrated the best manuscript and cursive handwriting at a national level—we are incredibly proud of the dedication and excitement millions of students have brought to this event. Thank you!
While we will not be accepting entries for national judging or recognition as we take time to consider the contest’s future, we encourage you to continue the tradition with a school-based event this year.
Support for Your School-Level Handwriting Contest
We know that many schools incorporate contest preparation into daily handwriting instruction and practice. If you would like to continue to host your school-level contest, we will post school-level contest entry forms and certificates for download in October. Thank you for making the annual contest a part of your students’ learning journey!
